The 7th Steering Committee Meeting of the EU-Access to Sustainable Energy Program (ASEP) was conducted today at the World Bank Mission Office, BGC, Taguig, attended by its implementing members and representatives from the European Union Delegation, the Department of Energy, Department of Finance, Department of Interior and Local Government and the National Power Corporation.
The ASEP Technical Assistance Team, the World Bank and 7 civil society implementors of the Call for Proposals component of ASEP presented their achievements and challenges 6 months after the last committee meeting.
DOE Undersecretary Fuentebella, speaking at the close of the activity, challenged the project implementors to abide with timelines and emphasized the importance of closer coordination in the EU-PH ASEP partnership. “Your work in EU ASEP is very important and so far all have done well. We just have to keep reminding each other of the timelines. On my part, I’m also making sure that the Philippine government is always on time with its obligations in this partnership and I think we are. Let us all be conscious of the timelines.”
