Join us in celebrating the successful delivery of the Solar PV- Lithium ion batteries hybrid systems components to the islands of Sitangkai and Sibutu, Tawi-tawi by the ASEP-Renewable Energy Technology for Seaweed value added in Tawi-Tawi (ASEP-RETS)!
The 2 renewable energy hybrid systems has an aggregated solar capacity of 1.65MW and will finish construction within this year. By this, approximately 3,500 households will be provided access to renewable and sustainable electricity and and the improvement of the local seaweeds industry in Tawi-Tawi. Thanks to the technical assistance and co-funding by RETS partner, the joint venture Association of Isolated Electric Cooperatives – Island Light and Water (AIEC ILAW). The Provincial LGU of Tawi-Tawi also extended invaluable assistance in facilitating land donation and providing budget for civil works.
